TORRES has dropped her new single, ‘Wake to flowers’. It's a true art-pop journey, taking us from her isolated voice atop a lone drum, via the strut of a delicate bass line and into luscious textures courtesy of crisp electric guitars. “I’m familiar with the disappointment that frequently follows hope,” says TORRES, real name Mackenzie Scott. “People are frighteningly resilient. We are regularly optimistic and regularly shattered by the want of something, maybe something that takes all our might and energy and then still doesn’t happen.
